Our Mission · Rooted in Louisiana Since 2006

Every student has a place after high school.

For almost twenty years, we've believed that — even when a student doesn't believe it themselves yet. College, workforce, or military: we help them build a real plan and see it through.

Our Goal

To ensure every Louisiana student graduates high school with a clear, realistic plan for what's next — whether that's college, entering the workforce, or military service.

Our Mission

To remove the obstacles that keep students from pursuing the path that's right for them.

At Career Compass, we know that to be successful tomorrow, this generation needs a clear plan today — whether that plan leads to a college degree, a technical certificate, a skilled trade, or military service. To get there, students need to graduate from high school with a realistic plan for their future.

The problem is that the process is often difficult and discouraging, which can leave students feeling powerless and frustrated. We believe there's a place for every student after high school — even when they don't yet believe it themselves.

As former educators and parents, we understand that every student faces unique obstacles on the way to what's next. That's why we've helped hundreds of thousands of middle and high school students gain access to opportunities after high school — whether that opportunity is a university, a technical program, the workforce, or the military.

Since 2006, Career Compass has empowered hundreds of thousands of students in schools across the state to develop realistic plans for their futures and apply to education, training, and career opportunities — helping them graduate with a plan for what's next. State agencies, school districts, charter schools, and others seek partnership with us because of our track record of success, proven best practices, and our cost-effective, sustainable model that expands access to college, workforce, and military pathways alike.

Where We Started

Career Compass was founded in 2006 by former educators who kept seeing the same thing: bright, capable students graduating high school with no real plan for what came next — not because they lacked potential, but because no one had walked them through the process.

So we built that process ourselves. Twenty years later, that same belief still drives everything we do: every student deserves a coach in their corner and a clear next step, whatever path they choose.
