Open Positions

College & Career Coach - Iberville and West Baton Rouge

Overview: We are seeking a caring and compassionate individual to serve as a high school college and career coach. Our coaches work with high school students (grades 9 -12) to help them map out their plans for the future. Whether students need help exploring various career options, gaining admission to a particular post-secondary institution, getting on the right path for their chosen career, or all of the above, Career Compass coaches are on site to lend a helping hand.

Service Area: Iberville and West Baton Rouge Parishes

Requirements

  • Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in education, social work, or guidance counseling, and must have experience working with students.

  • Work on a public school campus 2-3 days a week, during school hours. This is a part-time job.

  • Must have strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively both orally and in written form.

  • Ability to work well with students including but not limited to ACT registration, research potential colleges, aid in college applications, and provide information on financial aid.

  • Foster and develop relationships with high school administration and support staff.


College & Career Coach - Sabine, Natchitoches, Vernon

Overview: We are seeking up to two caring and compassionate individuals to serve as high school college and career coaches. Our coaches work with high school students (grades 9 -12) to help them map out their plans for the future. Whether students need help exploring various career options, gaining admission to a particular post-secondary institution, getting on the right path for their chosen career, or all of the above, Career Compass coaches are on site to lend a helping hand.

Service Area: Sabine, Natchitoches, and Vernon Parish. If you live in Sabine Parish or nearby, you are in the right place for this job because much of the work will take place in Sabine Parish public schools.
